Well there’s a little more to it than just eating bacon and getting healthy. But that is the gist, a Primal diet full of high fat, low carb and moderate protein items.

Hi! My name is Harry Olson and I’ve been a Owner/Chef of restaurants for the past 22 years. My current restaurant is Harry’s Hideaway in Cornville, Arizona. When I opened my first restaurant in Chicago in 1993 I went from 225 pounds to 317 pounds in the first ten years! I joined a health club and spent the following years trying a lot of different diets with my weight going down, but eventually going back up. I became a Type II Diabetic with High Blood Pressure. The meds didn’t cure my problems, they just made the numbers look good! It wasn’t until July of 2014 that I discovered Mark Sisson’s Primal Blueprint and Mark’s Daily Apple website.


Going from a high carb, low fat way of eating to eating Primal with high fat, and low carbs took a while for my body to adjust to, but my taste buds adjusted right away! Bacon and eggs, baby! But really, the food does taste great and the high amount of fat you’re eating is very satisfying so you’ll eventually eat less and go longer between meals. I went from a sugar burner to a fat burning beast! I’ve lost, on average, 5 pounds a month for the last 12 months. That’s right! I’ve lost 60 pounds in the last year!  In the process, I’ve gotten off my high blood pressure meds and my Type II Diabetes meds! And I feel great! Eating the right food is the most important part of this Primal lifestyle and combined with a sensible, Primal exercise plan you too can see results!
